Arvixe does not meter the amount of bandwidth and disk space for your account, and provides complete freedom in hosting files necessary to the operation of your websites. To further elaborate on that, while other hosting companies limit you to specific monthly disk space and bandwidth, we pride ourselves in being able to not limit you and give you the liberty to upload your various website related data to your hosting space and let your website visitors enjoy the server's bandwidth without you needing to worry if you went over either a bandwidth or disk space monthly quota limit. Your usage is subject to our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy, and may not be used for purposes such as file storage or retaining backups. While we do not meter your accounts, we may audit high usage accounts to ensure compliance. Our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy may be found below: Usage of Arvixe services requires acceptance of these Terms of Service and adherence to our Acceptable Use Policy. In addition to disk space and bandwidth, some websites may require large quantities of CPU usage, memory, or processes in order to serve the site to visitors. These resources are not limited and the following article provides information regarding their specified limits: | |

RESPONSE: That amount of data hosted on a Personal/Business plan will unfortunately count as storage/backup and will not be allowed. If the data is actively being accessed however, the CPU/memory usage occupied by the visitor count will warrant a VPS/dedicated server. Therefore, we suggest that you look to our VPS/Dedicated server solutions for your website.
I have an online store that's selling digital downloads. These are ebooks, videos, softwares and pdfs and i do have full rights to sell them. These files are not publicly shared so only a customer can download and use the files..my calculation about the size of these files is less than 50 gigabytes or more than that.my question is....
Do you allow this type of business on a personal/business hosting?
I need your answers guys..please.
Is this allowed or does it fall under the "archive" designation?
I mean an unlimited, no questions asked, no monitor, nothing to worry about from payer end?
Simply be honest in advertsing and everything is OK - for ALL. NO disappointed customers.
Regardless what "other companies on the internet" do - or is regarded as "prevalent" practice. Be better than them - even in word choice ...
It is simply abusive, unfair and out of line to backup an entire computer on a hosting space that was meant for hosting website files for reasons mentioned above. And despite what our competitors do to hide that fact, we have it publicly outlined right here on our website as well as our TOS.
Thank you
I appreciate your help as I was referred to arvixe due to your reputation for being fast and reliable.
Thanks,
Jason
Thanks,

expecting your reply.
How is that considered at Arvixe?
which is the most economical plan for unlimited space? business class?
as step personal business account to have unlimited space for videos?
Thanks.
If i get lots of users this cud end up to more then 20GB after a year or some month. This tickets whil not be reguarly used becouse they shood be read and then they may be markt as done and no-one will look at them anymore. Is this then considered as an archive? Can i use any of your'e "unlimited" host for this?
I need to use phpfox! Think I have 10,00000 members in my site. I allow them to upload only images & attachments! (nor video/ mp3)
still I can use your web hosting without limitations of file count or space?
Even if i have files that are not accessed regularly, they are in accordance with your TOS, where is not specified that you can not have files that are special for the hosting you provided (for video hosting is normal to have .flv and .mp4 files)
(Example: 0 - 5k users = personal plan, 5k - 10k = business plan ... etc)
I want to make a wordpress website, which will contain only articles and images used in them( around 4 images of 600x300 in jpg format) and will have around 200 post. users can only read the articles. No one can singup or upload anything. Will the personal pro plan can handle this kind of website ( will get around 5k to 10k visitors/day)
Thanks
The most files are made by a gallery add-on that generates 3 thumbs for every photo uploaded, so a lot of file but very small. They are not accessed reguraly, but occasionaly, 'cause are the users that decided when and which album see. The forum is not public accesible and we are not indexed. we use normaly 20/25 Gigs bandwith per month. We plan to move from our ISP. Do you think personal plan is ok for our need ? Our extimated growth may be 10 GB space and 100.000 inodes in the next 2 years, and we want a biannual plan. Please we need an answer
There is a user registration system and everything, and they can upload up to 50mb of data. Once I had several hundred users, it could easily pass the 20gb limit. Is this counted as "archiving" if I did not make the data, but instead users did? If I make a system where it notifies the user if they have not used their account for 30 days, and then delete the data to prevent useless data on the server, would that still be archiving? I wish not to upgrade to business class or VPS, and I am not asking for you to tell me to do that. I just want to know if this will work.
Are you saying now that I cannot use owncloud to store my files online as a backup in my own cloud?
Also, if I can, AM I limited to a certain amount of data in my own cloud?
Cheers
my developed site which currently uses 400 MB of picture files (and I do not expect it to multiply by more than ten times it's current size) on my personal server would not trip the warnings
my site which is currently used by me as (a) a learning tool and (b) as ultimately as an information exchange for hobbyist would not trip the bandwidth limits because I don't see it as a heavy use system.
My questions to you is... Since I do not control your servers and have no idea what your server resource limits are, how would I know (going in) if my stored procedures or queries will trip your limits? If you take memory out of a server to add to a different server, then something that was working fine before and was within limits may now be in violation. Is this a reasonable supposition?
(1) I write fairly good SQL, but how am I to know what will tax your servers or cross over your line in the sand?
(2) If my app runs fine during the first two months and there are no warnings or problems, then there are "suddenly and mysteriously" problems that crop up after the first two months with no significant changes to my application, then what options are available other then being booted to a higher priced plan? Can we both call it quits and go our separate ways?
Base on information above in this topic I suppose that Personal hostig will bu suffice and the disk space and CPU shouldn't make any issue (TOS agreement)?

I currently host a small place where indie musicians can upload their music. I use software called Jamroom, and have had the site for 5 years. Now looking for a new host. The current site uses about 30+GB of space for the software and the MP3 files, bandwidth is relatively low. Some of the MP3 files uploaded by the artists are listened to on a fairly regular basis, some may not be listened to at all - or very infrequently.
I was looking at your Personal plan, but according to everything I've read, if files aren't actively accessed they're considered 'archival' and against the TOS. And anything over ~20GB is subject to review as to whether the system is being abused.
I don't want to go to the trouble of changing hosts if I'm going to immediately run into those issues, so I thought it best to just ask. Is this scenario unacceptable for the Personal plan, or "on the edge of what the plan supports"? Thanks...
That will be fine for our personal class plan.
so the site have near 25k visits every hour.
the site uses like 200Mb of space and consume like 20Mb of memory that acording to cpanel memory report.
so, there is a plan where this site can be located?
Question 1:
One of my sites is used by about 20 people for email all of which are IMAP accounts. What is the limit for a single email account and what is the total limit for all email accounts?
Question 2:
Do you allow backups to Amazon S3 service?
Thanks
Jason
2- Yes, there are no restrictions on backup services. So long as the hosting account has the ability to utilize the server, we place no further restrictions on it.
I it ok to install traffic exchange script
if my web site posted lots of image (let's say 50gb) and will be posted on my website for 1 year (i not sure the image going to be delete or add for some reason), is it alright to use personal class? no over the limitation?
my web site condition is below:
(no login / no download & upload/ no comments / expecting 1,000 visitor per day)
Thank you.
I have a Wordpress news blog I want to move to shared hosting. We have around 15,000 visits a day and our posts are pretty image heavy (we post 2 to 5 times per day). We plan on developing a user database that will include an image for every one and a small bio page. Does the Personal Class plan sound okay with these characteristics?
Thank you
After reading all the queries I really got confused! I am planning to host an OpenCart store(For crafts and other creative physical goods) with the personal class plan (with SSL). I'm not planning to archive any files or folders other than uploading the product images, necessary files and installing modules, extensions etc. Moreover, I believe for the first few months there will not be remarkable traffic to my site and in this way I won't be using more that 3 to 8GB of the disk space. Does that sounds like a good fit for the personal class? Also, besides $4/month, is there any hidden fees that I'll have to pay after buying the hosting plan? Your reply regarding this will be much appreciated. Thanks!
What package is available.
Everything else is pretty much the same. 50 gigs limit, unlimited domains, cpanel... Am I correct?
Thanks,
Gorast
Will the shared hosting plan work with the above requirements? Expecting around 25K visitors & 125K page views per day .
If not shared, will VPS work?

Is Personal Class ok for this purchase? Can I scale up to Business Class easily if I need to?
I have a php script melody 190,000 own video embedded videos from youtube, I have a traffic of about 700 Daily visitors and the videos are just to watch, I wonder if I could put my website on the plane PERSONALCLASS.
I want to create a website that uses the wiki look for articles as well as a forum. The plan is to let forum members upload their pictures to share. We want the site to be pic heave. In what plan is all of this possible? The goal is to maybe reach 1000 active forum users.
Any suggestions?
How about if i sell my digital product downloads (pay before download) and i update the total is 150GB ? IS IT OK ? PersonalClass PRO can store 150GB Download Files ?
Also this script comes free with minimum 12 months plan? Its also free for Business plan or only $4 plan mentioned on website?
