How to To deploy a report using the SQL Server Business Intelligence Development
Posted by Arvand Sabetian (Import) on 17 June 2010 11:09 PM
You will first need access to a report server which we can setup for free for BusinessClass ASP customers and can be purchased at $5.00 per month by PersonalClass ASP customers.

Once you have the access setup and sent to you, to deploy a report using the SQL Server Business Intelligence Development (or other tools)
in the "Targetserverurl" set: "http://[server].arvixe.com/reportserver_SQLExpress"
in the "Targetdatasourcefolder" set: "[username]/[foldername]"
in the "Targetreportfolder" set: "[username]/[foldername]"

Where:
[server] is the server your report service is setup on
[username] is the username assigned to your report service
[foldername] is the folder you've created through your report service

This is in specific to users using SQL Server Business Intelligence Development and was contributed by a customer who uses the software. Each client will have its own set of options and you may need to reference the manual for the specific software to properly configure it. The basic settings and how to access SSRS through the web will be provided upon setup.

I would like to run SSRS embedded reports (not a full service deployment) as I have only 2-3 reports in my application. Do you have the appropriate DLLs deployed to the GAC?

As we would have the service installed, the proper dlls should be in the GAC. If they are not simply let us know which dlls you are looking for and possibly the MSI that needs to be installed on the server to deploy the proper dlls to the GAC.
