Edit: Effective 8/28/2015 Arvixe is no longer offering free shared SSL certificates. Please contact support with any questions you may have. First, we have written an article to address the question Do I Need a Dedicated IP Address? A one-year domain-validated SSL certificate is $25. Some of our hosting plans come with one such certificate for free: BusinessClass, VPSClass and DedicatedClass (and their ASP equivalents). We require the following information to generate the CSR, and ultimately order the certificate. ================ If you already have your own certificate, we will install it for free. You can email [email protected] with the above information and we will process your request ASAP. Please include your Arvixe username with your request. | |

And if I want more I need to buy the resellerclass?
We do not limit the amount of SSL's / dedicated IP's purchased on our ASP plans per say, only the amount of websites. The ASP plan is limited to an amount of 6 websites, one SSL per website, so for a total of 6. The ASP Pro has no limit.
This is a good summary I have 2 further questions
(1) Is the certificate being sold AICA Webtrust complaint?
(2) Is the certificate's Root Authority included in
IE,FF,Chrome across platforms?
I have a question, I am on ASP Pro plan. i want to secure my domain and also about 3 subdomains. I may be interested in SSL from Globalsign or RapidSSL. do i need to purchase 4 different IP addresses and SSL Certs or is there a better solution.
My Arvixe username is tonytong, I have an Arvixe hosting plan and installed zencart, I want to buy a ssl certificate and Install to my zencart online store, I want to know, The SSL certificate is $25.95/year, and the dedicated IP is $2.00/month is for one page or unlimited page for one domain? How can I install to my zencart online store and what information I need provide to you?
Please advise
Thank you very much
There is no limit on the number of pages. Any page on your domain accessed over SSL will be encrypted and secure. We can complete the entire order and setup process for you, just contact sales.
and I wrote https://www.mydomain.com
would this be also good for https://mydomain.com ?
I want to know that is it possible for an individual to sign up a SSL certification ???
Someone that does not have a company name and division ???

By the nature of SSL certificate, they only secure that specific domain and the www variant of the domain. (AND!)

No, unfortunately the exact FQDN that you supply is the only one that will work over SSL, so all SSL sessions will have to occur over https://www.mydomain.com (OR!)
Which opinion is correct?
if you would like the SSL to run over both, you should order the certificate as www.domain.com, if you were to order it just as domain.com, or secure.domain.com then the www would not be included. My above comment is not correct, thanks for pointing that out.
Will it make any difference if I buy SSL certificate either from you or from other provider if I wish you to configure the SSL for my site/pages?
My understanding is – Irrespective of whether I buy SSL for entire site or for specific pages and If I provide HOST to make cert for as www.<mydomain>.com, my site/pages will always show SSL regardless of how I enter the URL in address bar (like www.<mydomain>.com or http://<mydomain>.com or https://<mydomain>.com ), Is that right?
How long will it take to see the SSL on my website from the point I decide to buy SSL certificate from you, then someone from support setting the SSL on my entire site/couple of pages and related validations if any?
We need to protect one domain only by ssl at present, rest domains will be later. Is it possible ?
host install by itself
Or client install

Now I am confused again. What is the difference between getting SSL with www.mydomain.com and also using mydomain.com with SSL and ordering abc.mydomain.com with SSL and also using mydomain.com with SSL. I get that www. and abc. would be different but isn't mydomain.com equally under both. Does www have some special status, and if so is this an Arvixe thing or part of the SSL standard?
what about your SSL provider name?
I have the ALPHA SSL from you guys, but it is in fact 128bit, not 256.
Check my email domain to see.
I need to add one more SAN: onemoresan.domain.com.
What should i do?
Thank you.
Yes, you would require separate SSL's for each TLD. Most of our servers still need a dedicated IP address for SSL, but that is quickly changing. Please contact our support department for more information.
I have an ASP Pro hosting account with Arvixe. I've currently purchased one additional IP. I have a subdomain and website (xxx.domain.com) that uses the static IP and an SSL cert applied to that subdomain (ssl purchased elsewhere).
Ideally, I'd like to purchase a wildcard SSL certificate (*.domain.com) and apply it on my subdomain (xxx.domain.com). I would then point other subdomains to the existing website (xxx.domain.com). No new websites would be created. Just additional subdomains (yyy.domain.com, zzzz.domain.com) that would point to the existing subdomain (xxx.domain.com) that already has a website created.
Would the SSL certification work out OK?
Please help me because i have already paid for SSL Certificate.
I have a VPS server with Arvixe (ASP PRO) and I would like to install SSL on my Main Domain and all sub Domains (www.Mail.com, www.Sub1.Main.com, www.Sub2.Main.com etc). I already have one dedicated IP Address,
1. Do I need separate dedicated IP Addresses for all subdomains?
2. Do I need separate SSL Certificates for all sub domains?
3. I believe that I am eligible for a free SSL Certificate, is that true? Can I use that on the main domain and the sub domains?
Thanks.
2) Yes you will unless you purchase a wild card SSL (not free)
3) Business Class and VPS class customers do receive a free SSL. Please contact our sales department with the domain you want it applied to and we will get it completed.
I have two reseller accounts (linux and win). Need to add SSL on one of the sites on the windows account. I understand for a basic SSL cert it is $25 p/a and $2 p/m for dedicated IP.
On the sales chat the consultant said the one showing the green bar in the browser's address bar is the same price plus the amount for a dedicated IP ($25 + $24). Is this correct?
I presume the dedicated IP is also compulsory for the standard cert, correct?
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Regards
Dawie
secondly i would need back up server to supplement in case of server down time as i wouldn't need to see clients complaining about down time and processing time for data.
1. May we know Arvixe's latest provider of certificates?
2. Given with our hosting information, may we know if we have a free SSL Certificate from the Arvixe, LLC.
3. How long would it take to enable the HTTPS (SSL) for our domain (parent domain only, no sub-domains)?
4. Do we still have to pay something after the installation? Please validate.
Please let us know immediately. Thank you very much
I have few questions,
The first one is that I have two websites running one dedicated IP address. Now I want to purchase one SSL, I may purchase another later. Do you I need to purchase another dedicated IP ? May I keep two websites on the dedicated IP but only one with SSL ?
The other one is, can I test this SSL on my local machine before I upload the site ??
Thanks
2) Please double check with our sales team as I do not want to make a statement now that may not apply in the future
3) Our team team can get this enabled quickly for you once the request has been finalized (whole process taking no more than 24 hours)
4) The purchase of the SSL includes free install through us.
