Using the SSL certificates you're selling would the address bar look the same as it does for this page? I'm using IE9 now and at the right end there's a green arrow pointing to the left and when you mouse hover it it says, "Protected site". If I click on the padlock in the address bar and "View certificates" the Issued by shows Equifax Secure Certificate Authority. So I guess that would say Globalsign for the certificates you are now selling. So basically visitors to your site would see "Protected site" and the padlock also.

Now I am confused again. What is the difference between getting SSL with www.mydomain.com and also using mydomain.com with SSL and ordering abc.mydomain.com with SSL and also using mydomain.com with SSL. If I am reading everything correctly, if I move my file from my sub domain, and place it under my main domain www.mydomain.com, and link to it from my main site, they will all be covered by one SSL cert. You do not need a dedicated IP for an SSL Cert anymore, at least on the server I'm on. You may want to update this article to reflect that.

I have two reseller accounts (linux and win). Need to add SSL on one of the sites on the windows account. I understand for a basic SSL cert it is $25 p/a and $2 p/m for dedicated IP.

On the sales chat the consultant said the one showing the green bar in the browser's address bar is the same price plus the amount for a dedicated IP ($25 + $24). Is this correct?

I presume the dedicated IP is also compulsory for the standard cert, correct?

Good day. I want my website to have a .co.za (South African) domain name. But as Arvixe doesn't sell .co.za domain names I will opt for the free .com domain name when buying the hosting. I will then just change my DNS settings (From my domain company here in South Africa) for the domain name to redirect to the Arvixe servers. But now I need to know if I buy the SSL Certificate from my "Domain name" company will yo be able to install it for the .co.za domain? And will I need a dedicated IP address to do the above?
