After i have setup addon domain. At the domain addon list, the document root has pointed to my site root folder (public_html/amx), do i still need to set the REDIRECT TO action?

So if I go to my domainname account with Enom or whoever and point my second domain to the Arvixe nameservers I will then be able to go into the Arvixe control panel and set that domain to be an alias that will resolve to my currently hosted account? Ok, does the original answer need updating? When I look at the control panel I see "Add Domain" which becomes "Add New Domain" with three options:
1. Domain 2. Sub-domain 3. Domain Alias. What is the difference between these and where is this explained? Thanks. (And there is also "Create Website 1 of 6" -- how is that different?)

I know I'm a bit late to this discussion, but when I try to create an add-on domain I'm asked to fill in a "Subdomain/FTP Username:". What does that do and why does it need this? I created one add-on domain and now I have, apart from the newly created add-on domain, also a subdomain of my main domain. I don't need that. Why do you create it?

I have gone through the Add-on Domain steps and have redirected it to my main blog site. However, when I check on my domains registered with Arvixe it only lists my first domain, with no mention of my second. Do I have to register it in some other way? I am allowed 6 domains.

I have a reseller account... I have several accounts I want to selectively move to Arvixe from a different hosting company. Each have a distinct URL and should also have a distinct FTP account. Does adding an Addon domain mean that you own the domain name?

I have several owned domains that I want to move over to Arvixe for hosting. I also want to place them all under one account and one file structure, and then use pointers for access via the web. Is this possible and if so, how? Thanks for the help.

Can an add-on domain have its own favicon.ico file? I tried putting it in the add-on domainname.com root directory and flushed the browser cache but the image did not appear in my browser.

Successfully created addon domain, it all works great.
I don't understand what the subdomain user is for.

I currently have a website hosted on a VPS account. I want to add a new website with it's own domain, it's own MySQL database, and it's own files, on the same VPS but separate from the existing site that I have now. Should I use the add-on domain to add the new site?

I tried adding the new site using domain addon and it added the new site as a subdirectory to my existing site. I would prefer that it would have it's own public_html directory instead of being a subdirectory. Would this be possible?

I am trying to use 301 redirects on my addon subdomain URLs so that my addon domains are optimized and simply look like "addon.com". I have had no trouble doing this in the past and on other hosts by simply using the redirect tool in cPanel. However, I can't get it to work right with my new domains (all purchased through Arvixe).

- I used the redirect tool to redirect that URL to: addon.com ...but I get a 404 error and the URL indicates: http://www.addon.com/home/username/public_html/addon.com/"http://www.addon.com"

I have an Arvixe personal plan with one domain registered and working well.
I have another registered name and site hosted elsewhere. That site had a forwarder from IWantMYName to the other web host. The forwarder is canceled, however I understand it will take some time for the web crawlers to drop that forwarding.
