If you want to start a second or third website, an addon domain is needed. An Addon Domain is added to your existing control panel and points to a subdirectory within your hosting account with us. This means you don't need to sign up online nor pay extra to start a new site.

You do need to register each additional domain before you can use it. New domains can be registered at https://www.arvixe.com/domains.php

If you do not want to register a new domain, consider creating a Subdomain instead of an Addon domain.

*NOTE: As with pointed or parked domains, you will first need to register the domain and change the nameservers of the domain to our nameservers. If you do not do this first, you may not be able to proceed with the final setup via your control panel.

Setting Up Addon Domains

cPanel

After logging into your control panel, go to Domains > Addon Domains, after which you will see these options.

New Domain Name: Enter your domain you wish to add here.

Username/directory/subdomain Name: When you click outside the New Domain Name field, this will be filled out for you. You can leave it this way, but if a name you already used is suggested, you will need to change it.

Document Root path: When you click outside the New Domain Name field, this will be filled out for you. You can leave it this way, but if a path you already used is suggested, you will need to change it.

Password: Enter the password you wish to use for this domain.

Now click the Add Domain button to finish.

WSP

Login to your control panel and go to Domains > Add Domain. Choose Domain for unique domain names, or Subdomain for subnames of your existing domain names. Enter your domain name in the field at top and see the either Create Website or Point to Existing Website. You will also need to Enable DNS in most cases. Then click the Add Domain button.
